A Body in Balance
Acupuncture is based on Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), a health care system that has evolved over the past 3000 years. It incorporates the principles of balancing yin and yang and the continuous flow of qi, our body’s driving energy. By inserting fine needles into the meridians, an acupuncturist can stimulate the body’s own healing response and help to restore its natural balance. The needles do not heal the body, they stimulate the flow of qi to restore balance and remind the body of what it needs to do to heal itself.
