The staff at Lakewood Animal Hospital are outstanding! They are extremely knowledgeable, professional, and welcoming. It’s an amazing feeling to be 100% confident in your veterinary clinic and to know that your pet is in good hands. The clinic is extremely clean, the staff is very friendly and they make an effort to get to know you and your pet on a personal level. The staff makes regular phone calls to check in on our dog and they truly make us feel like a top priority. They take the time to educate their patients on pet care, for example, the vet taught us how to properly trim our dogs nails. We were intimidated being first time dog owners, and the vet gave us the confidence we needed to do it on an ongoing basis. They have emailed us “guides” and helpful documents when we’re feeling worried about something small that doesn’t necessarily require a veterinary visit. We also love their reminders and how you can book appointments online. We definitely do not thank them enough!

I love Lakewood Animal Hospital and will not go anywhere else. And the ease of booking in online for any type of appointment is wonderful. Having my fur babies’ records online, dates for when vaccinations and check ups are required and reminder emails automatically sent is so handy and appreciated! Keep up the awesomeness LAH! Your seamless team work between staff and vets was evident through his visits or phone calls. Dr. Cross thank you for taking care of our beloved Luo over the years. When I first went I thought the prices were pretty high but then realized that you get what you pay for. They are great people and don’t push unnecessary tests. I had to put down our cat and they took their time with it and were very comforting. I was a big cry baby. When I thought that was it we later received a sympathy card and then later we received a letter from a U of S saying how they received a donation from the clinic in honour of our cat.

Everyone at Lakewood Animal Hospital is absolutely amazing! Dr. Skific always spends a lot of time with us and goes through all of our treatment options in detail so that we can make an informed decision. The staff are always extremely courteous and helpful. Lakewood Animal Hospital is the best veterinary practice in the city.

Dr. Jenny Skific has been our vet for many years and cared for our previous three dogs. Her move to Lakewood is the reason we switched clinics. The staff is very professional and knowledgeable. Communication has been great and our appointments have been on time. We would highly recommend Lakewood Animal Hospital.

We have been taking our cats to this clinic for several years. Sadly, last year we had to put one of our sweet cats down. It was a difficult and heartbreaking situation, but the staff at the Lakewood clinic were so compassionate and patient and supportive, that it helped make the situation a little easier to bear. They really went above and beyond and I am forever grateful.

All of our pets have been patients at Lakewood Animal Hospital for 30 years. We have always been totally satisfied with the care and attention from all the veterinarians. Everyone is very helpful, kind and compassionate especially in the difficult times. I would definitely recommend people to take their pets here!!!

We were in with our year old Labrador yesterday to get some care from Dr. Cross. Typical we see Dr. Powers and he has always provided compassionate and knowledgeable health care for our previous dog and current puppy. We returned to Lakewood Animal Hospital with our second dog because of the amazing service with our first. We trust and appreciate his guidance.Yesterday a health concern arose and we needed to make a last minute appointment. We were scheduled with Dr. Cross. I was a little apprehensive about seeing a different vet due to one incident several years ago. However, Dr. Cross was a gem! She treated our pup with genuine warmth, answered my questions and provided a thorough examination and medical consult. She was in no rush and even checked to see if there were any other questions and answered those (unrelated to the reason for the visit) as well with the details I needed.How lucky your center is to have such a team of vets – just wanted to let Dr. Powers and Dr. Cross know that their kindness and efforts do not go unnoticed.
