My oldest cat is a diabetic and I needed to get supplies and information about this. The Staff were awesome. They got everything I needed they even took extra care to make sure the insulin could be transported without worry of freezing. They answered all of my wife’s questions and we both left feeling well cared for.
My cats have been attending Lakewood Animal Hospital for many years. I have always had an excellent experience with all of the doctors at this clinic. They are soooo good and patient with my cats. Last year I lost a seven month old kitten that I had adopted. After my little one was neutered, she began to show symptoms that were not related to her neutering. She was not in good shape. She didn’t want to be alone and would not leave my side. Every time I would lay down, she would jump up and lay across my neck like she was cold. All of the kitten in her was gone. When I took her in, her test results were grim so we decided together that the best way to find out what was going on was to operate. Prior to the operation I held her in my arms promising that she would come home to me and her siblings. It turned out to be much more serious. My little one made it through the surgery but took her last breath in the caring arms of the doctor. She wasn’t alone.
Sincerest thank-you to the staff at your clinic. Our pug Sarge had his eye removed yesterday. Your staff was unbelievably compassionate and caring throughout this process. You have no idea how much our family appreciates it. Sargey is doing really well. He is already eating like the little piggy he is, doing his tricks, wagging his tail, and maneuvering the stairs like nothing has changed. He seems so happy and he looks so much better than we ever thought.
Thank you for everything you did and taking such good care of our pugly.
We have been taking our 7 year old pug to Lakewood Animal Hospital since she was just a newborn puppy.
Everyone at this clinic is amazing. Whether we are there to pick up food, get a nail trim, for a check-up, or to have surgery, they have all been absolutely wonderful.
They take time to get to know you and your pet, and are very caring.
They offer a wide range of services, and make time to answer all of your questions.
We love Lakewood Animal Hospital, and have recommended it to others as well.
Our pets are part of our family and everyone at Lakewood Animal Hospital understands that. They make you and your pet feel comfortable.
Lakewood Animal Hospital offers the best care and services, and they have a fabulous staff.
The vets and EVERYONE working at this clinic are beyond terrific. Each of them hold a special place in our hearts.
We truly appreciate all they do to care for our “Baby”.
“THANK YOU” to everyone at Lakewood Animal Hospital for all you do.
I have been a client of Lakewood Animal Hospital for 15 years. I have accessed many of the various services they have to offer from homeopathic treatments to the underwater treadmill. My dogs are family members and I know that when I take them to Lakewood they will be well cared for with a holistic approach. I feel that everyone always listens to my concerns and they take into account the observations that I have made regarding my dogs which enables me to be an active member in their care. There are many services available and I would recommend Lakewood Animal Hospital for all your pet’s health care needs!
Dr. Marilyn Sthamann and the team at Lakewood Animal Hospital are absolutely wonderful. When we brought Nikita in for her first visit, Dr. Sthamann answered all of our questions and concerns with patience and respect; and was incredibly attentive and thorough with her. We appreciate the extra time Dr. Sthamann took to discuss our options, for joining Nikita’s health team and for providing us with resources, knowledge and referrals to make the very best decisions for her. We were thoroughly impressed that the entire visit was about what was best for Nikita even when it came down to recommending products and supplements that weren’t offered through the hospital, but would possibly be best for her. It was Dr. Sthamann’s knowledge and care and respect that has led us down this path. After we met with Dr. Sthamann, we finally felt like we could breathe again. Our entire fur family and the rescues that we assist are so much better off for having met Dr. Sthamann because it has challenged us as pet owners and animal rescuers to push our education and knowledge even further. Thank you so very much! We look forward to a long relationship with Dr. Sthamann and the team at the Lakewood Animal Hospital.
Homeopathy has made my asthmatic cat healthy and active!
Before his homeopathic treatment with Dr. Sthamann, I was taking him almost every month for steroid shots plus medication for the fluid build up around his heart and in his lungs. He has been asthma free since his first remedy over two years ago.
I just love everyone at this vet clinic! They are all so helpful and caring:)
I have 2 teacup poodles and they keep me busy trying to keep them healthy. I don’t know where they would be right now if it wasn’t for the wonderful vets and support staff at this clinic.
We have received homeopathy from Dr. Sthamann, rehab therapy from Dr. Hudye, and an eyeball removed and hip surgery done on the same dog just days apart!
I was dog sitting for my daughter this year and the dog developed a nasty infected anal gland, the dog was from out of town and had never been seen at the clinic before but Dr. Powers fixed her up right away, no problem.
They really understand how important our pets are to us and they are very compassionate.
Sincere thanks to all of you at Lakewood Animal Hospital, I highly recommend it.
We believe that the best way to keep our pets healthy and happy is by having a trusting relationship with our veterinarians. We’ve been working with Dr. Sthamann at Lakewood Animal Hospital for over 30 years – from way back when we were all very young
Lakewood is consistently the first Regina clinic to bring in new ways of thinking and new modalities for our pets – those being nutritional, preventative and holistic. They also continuously invest in new testing equipment and treatments – from ultrasound equipment to underwater treadmills.
We also completely respect that they’re quick to refer to the University of Saskatchewan Veterinary College or other local clinics for specialized diagnostics and treatments that are not in their area of expertise – always doing what’s best for our pets.
